Event Details

No Unwounded Soldiers explores the devastating and persistent ripple effects of war on soldiers,  their families, and their communities.

This documentary grew out of the work of a small group of Vietnam veterans who engaged in drama  therapy as a way of  dealing with the aftermath of their wartime experiences.   It was taped at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System hospital in West  Haven in 2005, when the group’s original play was first performed.

In capturing how the dramatic process is used for healing, No Unwounded Soldiers also interweaves the personal stories of the group members, as well as veterans of World War II and Iraq, and archival footage.

No Unwounded Soldiers was produced, directed, videotaped and edited by Rebecca L. Abbott and has been screened at several film festivals as well as on CPTV.  More information and clips from the movie are available at www.nounwoundedsoldiers.com.

Discussion with the filmmaker will follow the screening. There is no charge, and free parking is available.
